CDS Exam 2020, UPSC Recruitment: – The Union Public Service Commission invites applications from eligible candidates for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination 2020 aimed at fulfilling prestigious posts in army, navy and air force according to Rank of Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Brigadier and COAS.

Education Eligibility: – Educational qualifications for different sections of the Indian defence force are as follows:
(i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy— Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy—Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
(iii) For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Age: – candidate’s age should be between 20 to 25 years

Selection Process: – Written examination and Interview.
Minimum Acceptable Height (Male):157.5 cms. (157 cms forNavy and 162.5 cms for Air Force)
Minimum Acceptable Height (Female): 152 cms
Exemption in Minimum Acceptable Height: 5 cms is given to Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North-Eastern region of India, Garhwali and Kumaon. Candidates from Lakshadweep enjoy an exemption of 2 cms.
Chest should be well developed. The minimum range of expansion after full inhalation should be 5 cms.
All candidates will be examined by the Board of Medical Officers. Candidates should be physical fit in all respects as highlighted in the full advertisement of the UPSC attached below.
